When we were growing up, Tina and I spent so many hours in Ann’s car being ferried from school to dancing to brownies, to dance recitals and rehearsals and competitions, and back again! I bet Ann wished she had a penny for every mile she drove us, she would have been a very rich woman! When you are kids you don’t appreciate the sacrifices your parents make for their children and their friends. Tina and I were lucky enough to grow up with parents that were very, happily, involved in our lives and nothing was too much trouble. We have both lost our mum’s within six weeks of each other, but we were lucky enough to have had them in our lives for over 60 years. I know our mums helped shape the women we are today, and I know we will both always be grateful for that. Losing your mum leaves a void that nothing else can fill, but the abundance of happy memories goes some way. Rest in peace Ann, in our hearts and minds forever.
